Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This website also uses local storage to remember display preferences. Some storage is needed for security and services you request; optional analytics and interactive Google Maps are controlled by your choices.

This policy describes the PACT website. When you follow an external link or proceed to a provider’s checkout, that provider’s own privacy and cookie information applies.

Essential cookies and preferences

The website session cookie keeps your visit secure and supports forms and your shopping basket. Its name and expiry depend on the website’s session configuration. XSRF-TOKEN helps protect forms against unauthorised requests and follows the session expiry.

pact_consent stores your analytics and Google Maps choices, together with the policy version, for 180 days. It is encrypted and cannot be read by website scripts. A changed policy version or expired cookie asks you to choose again.

appearance remembers your display preference in a cookie for up to one year and in local storage until cleared. Staff accounts may also use sidebar_state to remember the navigation layout for seven days. These preferences are not used for advertising.

Optional analytics

Analytics is off until you allow it. Allowing analytics only loads it if website analytics is also enabled by PACT. We use Google Tag Manager to load the configured analytics service after permission. We do not load its script or tracking iframe before that permission.

Analytics may use additional cookies according to the service configured by PACT. Rejecting analytics prevents the website from loading that analytics container. Our consent settings keep advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation denied.

Our page-view events use the page path and omit query strings and fragments, which can contain personal information.

Google Maps

Interactive maps are optional. We do not load the Google Maps service until you allow Google Maps in Cookie preferences or select Allow Google Maps beside a map. Your Google Maps choice is separate from analytics.

When loaded, Google receives information including your IP address and the map requests. Google may use cookies or similar technologies under its own policies. You can use the address details without loading a map. Open in Google Maps takes you to Google’s website.

Managing your choices

Use Cookie preferences in the footer to accept or reject optional cookies, or choose analytics and Google Maps separately. Essential cookies stay on. Saving a new choice reloads the page so previously loaded optional services stop running when permission is withdrawn.

Withdrawing permission stops future loading by this website. It does not remove cookies already stored by an external service. You can delete those through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent forms, sign-in or your basket from working.

For questions about personal information, see our privacy policy or contact PACT.
